Effectively Leading Your Church Through A Transition.

Not too long ago, I publicly shifted the official Bible translation of River City Baptist Church to the New King James Version for use in the pulpit. That decision wasn't made easily or quickly. For podcast two episodes, I clearly laid out my reasoning for the change and explained to my church how we would make that transition.

I was definitely not alone in that transition and I had sought the counsel of many trusted friends and pastors before I said anything to the church. Pastor Josh Teis had a similar journey some years back. Southern Hills Church is well known for its worship style and atmosphere being far different from how it started. Over the course of eight years, Josh has helped other pastors make the same transition in their churches.

I hope you find this conversation helpful and that it gives you the confidence you need to transition your church if that is what God has laid on your heart.
